A Campus In The Clouds
When I was working as an Instructional Technologist, One of my partners, Eric Mueller, and I were asked to create a presentation on the current status of our technology and how we were utilizing "The Cloud" to best serve our campus. Canvas Overview
Our campus has recently adopted the Canvas LMS to be supported and utilized district-wide. I created this presentation to give a brief overview of the purpose of Canvas and how it is expected to be supported by my school district. This presentation was also meant to inform staff about what they must complete and by when. Overall the feedback i received was positive about giving the presentation.
Info for Incoming Freshman & Community
When I started teaching at my campus, as a first year teacher, I was assigned four content areas to teach. I was teaching a introductory course to an already established media program in addition to three Information Technology related topics. The three topics were Principles of IT, Computer Maintenance, and Computer Science. These three classes were new to the campus and I wanted to begin building the program by informing the PTO community what my classes had to offer. Each year, this presenation is expanded upon to showcase what my students are learning in the classroom. This is presented to all visiting 8th graders during our CTE visit day on campus as well as their parents and the community that same evening.
